LTNE Comes to Alnwick and Sunderland

LTNE Comes to Alnwick and Sunderland

Are you:
• ready to ask searching questions about faith?
• seeking to discern what discipleship means to you and your church?
• keen to apply your faith in the workplace and in every aspect of your daily life?
• eager to explore collaboratively with other Christian disciples?
• able to travel to St James's URC Church in Alnwick or the Venerable Bede C of E Academy in Sunderland?

The course will run for 7 sessions per term at each venue. There will be an introductory day on Sat 11 Oct 2014 at Church House, Percy Main, a residential weekend, 30 Jan - 1 Feb 2015 near Consett, with the final session on Sat 4 Jul 2015 (venue tbc). The cost is £150, which covers all elements of the course, including all teaching sessions and the residential weekend. Sometimes Church Councils are able to help with the cost.

The areas to be covered sit under the following headings: Scripture; Bringing in the Kingdom; Being a Christian through the ages; Being Church in a Changing Society; Being a Mission-shaped Church.

What others have said about Living Theology North East:

LTNE is an opportunity to enrich your spiritual pilgrimage whether you feel called to ministry or whether, like me, you don’t. Sometimes travelling is just as good as arriving.

It’s a wonderful feeling to allow my faith to permeate all areas of my life, to be open about it and not feel that my life is compartmentalized any more.

It has been lovely to meet new people and feel linked in a small way to the whole diocese. Learning about people, their churches, their projects and their ideas has been very interesting. I am naturally quite a quiet person, but I have learned that through these ordinary day to day conversations people reveal quite amazing and inspiring stories.
